First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. As we reopen our tasting room, we want to communicate that the health and safety of our SD community (teammates and customers) remains our highest priority. As we open during these uncertain times, we encourage you to communicate any feedback or suggestions you have.  Please continue to check back before you visit as our safety precautions and procedures will be updated as often as possible in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Below you will find a summary of actions we are taking to follow CDC and West Virginia state recommendations and requirements to protect our team and customers and to help ensure we are lowering the risk for spreading COVID-19 as much as possible. In addition to our existing standards for health and sanitation, we are:

  • Promoting behaviors that reduce the spread of COVID-19, such as encouraging employees to stay home when they are feeling unwell; asking staff to do temperature and symptom checks before coming to work; requiring employees to frequently wash hands before, during, and after preparing food/drinks and after touching garbage; asking staff to wear cloth face coverings in accordance with WV Health requirements; asking staff to wear gloves; encouraging our customers to wear masks when entering/leaving and interacting with our employees.

    • Note: Cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years of age or on anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.

  • Increasing cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation in our business by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, cash registers, bathrooms, tables, countertops; sanitizing pens after each customer; wearing gloves when handling and disposing of trash; increasing circulation of outdoor air by opening our bay doors (when we are able) and prioritizing outdoor seating (when applicable). Please contact us if you would like more information on our specific cleaning protocol.

  • Encouraging social distancing by changing our layout to ensure parties and tables remain at least 6 feet apart; limiting capacity; discouraging crowded waiting areas; providing contactless trashcans throughout the tasting room for our customers; using disposable cups and food containers; encouraging use of the new pay-at-your-table option; eliminating visits to tables by asking customers to order from a designated bar area with plexiglass; using contactless menu boards instead of traditional menus; and avoiding large group events.

  • Ensuring there are adequate supplies to limit sharing of items by staff and customers, such as hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol throughout the tasting room, at the cash registers, and near restroom doors; providing disinfectant wipes, no-touch trashcans, and cloth face coverings to employees;

Please monitor yourselves for symptoms of COVID-19, which include fever, cough, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or shortness of breath. Call your doctor if you think you are sick and please stay home.
